This is a lot like Entenmann's.
5 cups flour (it's best to use half
all-purpose flour and half Bisquick)
3 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
Mix together with hands.
Add 1 1/4 cups oil (vegetable, Crisco)
Mix together with hands.
Divide this mixture...one half slightly larger than the other...use 2 bowls.
In the smaller portion add:
3 eggs
1 1/8 cups milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Mix well until free of lumps (mixture will be thin).Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
In the larger portion add:
2/3 stick butter
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup ground nuts
Mix with hands, making crumbs, leaving some large crumbs.
** I usually make double the crumbs and leave large crumbs instead of small ones.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes till browned.
Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
