Note: D. Dennison's is a restaurant with a very few locations around Detroit. It has absolutely the tastiest blackening seasoning I've ever had (and I've been to Bourbon Street several times). On one visit a few years ago, I asked my waitress what made it so good, and she gave me a recipe card. I apply it to boneless, skinless chicken breast and cook on a gas grill when possible. It's awesome.

1 part fresh garlic, chopped very fine
2 parts thyme leaves
2 parts basil leaves
2 parts fresh parsley, chopped fine
2 parts white pepper
1 part salt
1 part cayenne pepper

Combine all ingredients and mix very well. Keep Refrigerated. Apply to steak, chicken, or swordfish and broil.
