Sugar Gems recipe

2 cups powdered sugar
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups vegetable oil
1 pound butter
4 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
9 cups flour

Cream sugar, butter, and oil until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.

Sift dry ingredients together and blend in well. Scoop up spoonful, place in colored sugar and place sugared side up on cookie sheet. Press down with glass bottom.

Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees F.

Makes 80 large cookies
