Beef Satay recipe

From the kitchen of Kevin Taylor, the BBQ Guru

1 (1 1/2 pound) beef steak
1 green onion, minced
1/3 cup catsup
1/4 cup light soy sauce
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Use tenderloin, sirloin or top round for the steak.

Combine all the ingredients except the meat and the peanut butter.

Cut meat into 3/4 inch cubes.

Marinate meat for 1-2 hours.

Remove and reserve the marinade.

Thread meat onto skewers. Grill over high heat for 3-5 minutes, turning as needed.

Bring reserved marinade to a boil and add the peanut butter.

Serve this sauce with the kabobs.
