1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup water
1 small can mushrooms
1 (3/4 ounce) envelope mushroom gravy mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup Bisquick
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1 small bell pepper, cut into rings
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
Cook beef and onion over medium heat, stir occasionally, until beef browns;
Drain. Stir in mushroom gravy mix (dry), water and mushrooms cook 1 to 2 minutes
stirring constantly until thicken. Remove from heat. Stir in the sour cream
and spoon mixture into baking dish.
Mix Bisquick, egg and milk until blended. Spread evenly over beef mixture. Top
with bell pepper rings or paprika, if desired. Bake 18-22 minutes or until topping
is light golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
Serves 6.
