4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate bits
1/4 cup margarine
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup biscuit baking mix
1 (7 ounce) package flaked coconut (2 2/3 cups)
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Over low heat melt chocolate and margarine. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2
cup sweetened condensed milk, eggs, biscuit mix and vanilla extract. Spread
evenly into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan
In a bowl combine remaining condensed milk and coconut. Spoon in small amounts
over chocolate mixture. Sprinkle nuts over top and press down firmly. Bake for
25 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool thoroughly
and cut into bars.
Makes 36 bars.
