1 loaf Italian or French bread
1/4 pound butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 scallions, chopped
4 tablespoons freshly-grated Parmesan cheese
Slice loaf diagonally into 1-inch slices, but cut just to the bottom of the
loaf. Do not cut all the way through. Add garlic powder and chopped scallions
to the melted butter. Apply to all cut sides and outside of loaf with a brush.
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top of loaf. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil and bake
at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
