Banana Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3 medium bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
- Add bananas.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to banana mixture.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes; then reduce heat to 350 degrees F and bake 50 minutes longer. Check with a wooden pick to be sure it is done. The top will crack.
Notes
This recipe can be doubled.
