Orange Oven-Baked French Toast recipe

1/4 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
4 eggs
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 slices bread
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar mixed
    with 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Heat oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine butter, honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in small bowl, mix well. Pour into greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking dish.

Beat eggs. Add orange juice, milk, sugar, orange peel, salt and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Dip bread in egg mixture and place on butter mixture. Pour any remaining egg on bread. Bake 10 minutes.

Flip over each bread slice. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Sprinkle with spiced confectioners' sugar and serve with cinnamon-honey butter.

Cinnamon-Honey Butter:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon almond extract

Combine all and beat until creamy. Serve at room temperature.
