Coconut-Pecan Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
Instructions
- Bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil in a pan on top of the stove. Cook and stir for about 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in nuts and coconut.
Notes
This is an excellent frosting to pour over a hot cake which has holes made by the handle of a wooden spoon.
