Coconut-Pecan Frosting

Coconut-Pecan Frosting recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil in a pan on top of the stove. Cook and stir for about 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in nuts and coconut.

Notes

This is an excellent frosting to pour over a hot cake which has holes made by the handle of a wooden spoon.
