Sinful Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Yield: 16 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix without pudding
  • 1 (6 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 (12 ounce) bag miniature chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease Bundt pan.
  2. In bowl of mixer combine cake mix, pudding, oil, water, sour cream and eggs. Blend for about 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour batter into pan.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn out cake onto rack and cool completely.
  8. Dust with confectioners' sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16.5 ounce and 15.25 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss in a 16 ounce box, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe. To compensate for the volume loss in a 15.25 ounce box, add 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
