Sinful Chocolate Chip Pound Cake
Yield: 16 servings
Ingredients
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix without pudding
- 1 (6 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 4 eggs
- 1 (12 ounce) bag miniature chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease Bundt pan.
- In bowl of mixer combine cake mix, pudding, oil, water, sour cream and eggs. Blend for about 2 minutes.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
- Turn out cake onto rack and cool completely.
- Dust with confectioners' sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.
Notes
* 18.25 ounce boxes of cake mix have been replaced by 16.5 ounce and 15.25 ounce boxes. To compensate for the volume loss in a 16 ounce box, whisk 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour into the dry cake mix before proceeding with the recipe. To compensate for the volume loss in a 15.25 ounce box, add 1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
