Graham Cracker Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 (16 ounce) package Graham cracker crumbs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
Frosting
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 pound confectioners' sugar
- 1 egg
- Lemon juice, to taste
Instructions
- Cake: Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks; add crumbs, milk and baking powder. Mix well.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Bake in two (8-inch) round pans at 325 degrees F to 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
- Frosting: Beat confectioners' sugar and egg until smooth.
- Add lemon juice to taste; beat in butter until creamy smooth.
- Frost cool cake.
