6 slices good quality sandwich bread
4 ounces (1 stick) butter, melted
3/4 cup chopped pimento-stuffed salad olives, well drained
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Trim crusts off three sides of each slice of bread. Brush bread slices with melted butter. Place about 2 tablespoons chopped olives in the center of each slice of bread. Roll each slice with the crust side in and secure with a toothpick. Brush with more melted butter. Place twists on baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 5-6 minutes, or until bread is crisp and golden brown.
Makes 6 olive twists.
