Marshall Field Famous Salad Dressing

This is a vintage recipe from at least the early 1940s.

Yield: 1 pint

Ingredients

• 1 cup salad oil
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup ketchup
• Grated onion (size of golf ball)
• Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients well. Let stand for 24 hours.
