4 tablespoons butter

Mix the brown flour, white flour, buttermilk, salt, baking soda and butter. Knead lightly- form into a round cake. Cut cross with a knife. Bake on floured, greased baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or when you knock on the top of the cake and it makes a hollow sound.
