Rosie O'Shea's Soda Bread

Note: Rosie O'Shea's uses Adlum's Brown Flour.
Note: Makes one "Cake" as it's called in Ireland.
1 cup brown flour
1 cup white flour
16 ounces buttermilk
1 teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 tablespoons butter
Mix the brown flour, white flour, buttermilk, salt, baking soda and butter.
Knead lightly- form into a round cake. Cut cross with a knife. Bake on floured,
greased baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or when you knock on the
top of the cake and it makes a hollow sound.
