The Chipshop Fried Twinkie
Ingredients

- Twinkie
- All-purpose flour
Batter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon malt vinegar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces water
Instructions
- Place Twinkie in refrigerator to cool.
- Mix batter ingredients until they are the consistency of a custard.
- Roll Twinkie in flour, then in the batter.
- Drop the battered Twinkie into an industrial deep fryer for about 90 seconds, just until the filling is starting to melt and the outside is a nice golden brown.
- Top with powdered sugar, cut in half on the bias, and serve with a four-berry coulis.
- To make the coulis, put equal quantities of frozen raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries into a pan on low heat with a tablespoon of sugar per each cup of berries. When mixture begins to boil, put it into a blender. Then put it through a sieve. Push the pulp of the berries through.
