General Rules for all Games

1. A regular deck of 52 cards is used for all the games described. The cards rank in order from lowest to highest: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A.

2. The dealer starts dealing to the person to his left, then ends with himself. The dealer always deals clockwise.

3. The "pile" is the cards that are left over after dealing. The dealer places them face down in the center of the table.

4. The person to the left of the dealer is always the one who plays first. Play always moves clockwise.
