Peppermint Candy Ice Cream Pie

1 1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons peppermint candy, finely crushed
1 pint peppermint ice cream
8 ounces Cool Whip, partially thawed
Additional peppermint candy (for garnish)

Combine crumbs and melted butter; press firmly into a 9-inch pie plate.

Combine peppermint ice cream and whipped topping; spoon into crumb crust. Sprinkle with peppermint candy; freeze until firm.

Garnish with peppermint candy, if desired.

Make one 9-inch pie.
