Sour Cream Fruit-Nut Softies

Yield: about 6 dozen (2 1/2 inch) cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, nutmeg and salt; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, combine butter and sugar; beat until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture alternately with sour cream.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips, raisins and nuts.
  7. Drop by tablespoonsful onto prepared cookie sheet, and bake for about 10 minutes.
