Hearty Beef Stew recipe

3/4 pound stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 potato, diced
1 carrot, sliced
1 small onion, diced
1 (14.5 ounce) can whole tomatoes
2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper

Trim all fat from meat. Put all ingredients in crockette. Mix thoroughly. Cover and cook for 10-12 hours.
