Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs

Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs with a sweet and smoky taste. These meatballs may be served as appetizers or served over rice as an entree.

Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs recipe

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces frozen meatballs (or homemade meatballs)
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce, any flavor
  • 1 can pineapple chunks
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • Pineapple juice from the can
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the barbecue sauce and pineapple chunks over the meatballs.
  3. Add the garlic powder, brown sugar and pineapple juice. Stir to combine well.
  4. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or on LOW for 4 hours.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped green onions for garnish before serving, if desired.
