Steak in Beer
2 pounds round steak
1/2 clove garlic
Flour
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 onion
1 cups tomato sauce
1 cup beer or 2 cups beef bouillon cubes,
dissolved in 1 cup water
Rub steak with garlic on both sides. Cut into serving size pieces. Dredge
with flour.
Heat oil in skillet and brown steak on both sides. Season and place into
crock pot.
Saute onions in skillet and pour over meat. Add sauce and beer (or bouillon).
Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
Serves 4 to 6.
