Overnight Oatmeal with Apples

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups old-fashioned uncooked oatmeal
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon with apple slices, coating apples.
  2. Mix oatmeal with water and salt.
  3. Put apples in bottom of slow cooker and pour oatmeal mixture on top. Do not stir.
  4. Cover and cook overnight on LOW for 8 to 9 hours.
  5. In the morning, stir thoroughly.
  6. Serve with milk and additional brown sugar.
