Pork Ribs and Kraut

Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds country-style pork spare ribs
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 pounds fresh sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • 1/2 cup applesauce

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the ribs.
  2. Mix the sauerkraut and applesauce together.
  3. Layer the ribs and sauerkraut mixture in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for about 8 hours.
