Fritter Batter
1 egg, separated
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water or milk
1/2 cup flour
Beat egg yolk; add the butter and salt and half the liquid, then stir in
the flour to make a smooth dough. Add the remainder of liquid gradually to make
a batter, and fold in the stiffly beaten egg white.
