Makes 12 servings (2 tablespoons per serving).
1 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons light stick margarine
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup white or dark rum or fruit-flavored liqueur
In medium saucepan, combine sugar and margarine; cook over medium heat until sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in cocoa, corn syrup and rum or liqueur. Continue heating and stirring until combined.
