Dessert Topping and Sauce Recipes
Golden Marshmallow Sauce
1/4 cup boiling water
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add the boiling water to the sugar in a heavy saucepan and cook until a little
less than very soft ball stage is reached (220 degrees F). Pour in the marshmallows
and beat with a hand held mixer, over low heat, until smooth. Remove from the
heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Yield: Makes enough for 4 sundaes.
