Browned Butter Fish
Ingredients
- 1 (2 pound) fish filet
- 1/2 cup butter
- Lemon juice
- Marjoram
- Salt, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Put butter in shallow baking dish in hot oven until butter is melted and browned.
- Reduce oven temperature to 400 degrees F. Place filets in hot butter and bake 10 to 15 minutes.
- Turn and baste with pan juices. Sprinkle fish with lemon juice, marjoram, salt, paprika and pepper. Bake about 5 more minutes.
- Serve with pan juices.
