1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
6 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons minced fresh mint
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger or 2 tablespoons grated fresh gingerroot
8 cups melon balls or cubes
Minted Lime Dip:
1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
In a bowl, combine the sugar, water, lime juice, mint, lime peel and ginger. Add
melon balls. Cover and refrigerate for 1-6 hours. Thread melon onto wooden
skewers or toothpicks. In a bowl, combine dip ingredients. Serve with melon.
Yield: 8 cups fruit (1 cup dip)
