Bird Nests
Kathy writes~ I have a bird's nest in my soffit. Yesterday
the roofers removed it and closed it. They still are trying
to get there...must be the scent. What can I do to get them
to move on?
A. From what I can tell, a soffit is under the eave or a gutter.
You need to apply a repellent to the birds, a foul odor. One
that is popular is Bye Bye Birdie. Here are some websites to
research the products and you can go to your local nursery,
garden center and even a pet supply shop and buy a spray can
and apply according to the label's directions.
