Gardening for the Handicapped

Janie writes~ I've looking for plans and information to make waist-high tables to plant some of my garden in. I thought this would alleviate bending so much as I have some trouble with my back. I've found lots of interesting sites on gardening for the disabled and elderly but no plans and not many tips. Have you any ideas?

A. No, I did not have any luck either. Do you have a carpenter who could design them for you? That would sure be the easiest route. There must be someone nearby in town who makes tables. Tell him/her what you want, price it and have it built to your specifications. Your waist would be higher or lower than mine, so the exact height could be measured to give you the greatest comfort. I know the feeling. I sit at a chair and table for repotting as my mid-back is so painful.
