Batik Barrier Paste recipe

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons alum (find in the grocery store
    near spices or medicines)

This is a barrier paint used for batik dying. Slowly add flour and alum to the water in a bowl. Mix until very smooth.
