Copper Cleaner

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup soap flakes
3/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon whiting
1/2 cup very warm water

In a glass or enamel bowl, mix the flour, salt and soap together until soap is thoroughly dissolved. Add remaining ingredients, stirring well. Pour into a clean one-quart glass jar and cover tightly.

To use, shake the solution before using. Pour some of the paste on the copper item, then scrub gently with a sponge. Rinse, then dry. Buff lightly with a clean, soft cloth.
