Weaning Formula (for dogs and cats) recipe

2 teaspoons dried stinging nettle
1 cup boiling distilled or spring water

Add nettle to the boiling water. Let steep for 20 minutes.

When cool, give a cat 1/2 teaspoon three times a day for three to five days (or until milk production stops).

Give a dog 1/2 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons, depending on size.

This formula will help with the "drying off" process when the mother still produces milk when weaning.
