Cherry Cheese Streusel Pizza
Yield: 1 (12-inch) pizza
You will have enough cherry pie filling, cream cheese filling and streusel topping for several pizzas.
Ingredients
Cream Cheese Filling
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 ounces granulated sugar
- 1 medium egg
Streusel Topping
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Assembly
- 1 (12 inch) dessert pizza shell (fresh or par-baked)
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese Filling
- 14 ounces cherry pie filling
- 3 ounces Streusel Topping
Instructions
Cream Cheese Filling
- Cut cream cheese into sugar; add egg. Blend at medium speed until fluffy.
Streusel Topping
- Mix flour and brown sugar; cut in butter; mix in pecans and ground cinnamon. Blend thoroughly until crumbly.
Assembly
- Spread cream cheese filling evenly over fresh or par-baked pizza dough. Spread cherry pie filling over cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with streusel topping mixture.
- Bake at 500 degrees F until cheese filling and streusel is lightly browned (about 7 to 9 minutes).
- Cool and serve.
