Amish Slaw
Ingredients
Slaw
- 1 medium head (4 pounds) cabbage
- 1 medium onion
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Dressing
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 3/4 cup oil
Instructions
Slaw
- Shred cabbage and onion; add sugar and let stand.
Dressing
- Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Let cool.
- Add to cabbage mixture.
- Refrigerate overnight.
Notes
This will keep for a long time.
