Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Liberally grease a 9 inch pan.
  2. Combine starter, eggs, milk, sugar, flour and cornmeal in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer for 2 minutes.
  3. Add oil, baking soda, salt and baking powder. Mix well.
  4. Pour into prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
