Amish Sour Cream Cornbread
This is the best cornbread I have ever eaten!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup full-fat sour cream
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup whole milk
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix well using a whisk.
- Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Using a spoon, mix until just blended.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly.
