This is good with fruits — bananas, chopped apples and seeded Tokay grapes.
1 rounded tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 scant teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 or 2 eggs
1 cup thin cream or half-and-half
Mix dry ingredients. Beat egg in saucepan. Add cream, then vinegar. Add dry
ingredients and cook over low heat until thickened. Cool.
Add cream or milk until of the right consistency.
