Apricot Jell-O Supreme

Ingredients

Jell-o

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 small or 1 large box apricot Jell-O
  • 1 can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, drained, syrup reserved
  • 2 large bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows

Topping

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Reserved pineapple syrup
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 package Dream Whip
  • Chopped walnuts

Instructions

Jell-O

  1. Prepare Jell-O according to instructions on box.
  2. Add pineapple and bananas.
  3. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch pan.
  4. Spread marshmallows over the top.
  5. Refrigerate until set.

Topping

  1. In double broiler, beat egg, sugar, butter and pineapple syrup. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat.
  2. Turn heat off and add cream cheese while still hot; cover with melted.
  3. Beat with a mixer and let cool.
  4. Prepare the Dream Whip. Fold topping into Dream Whip and spread onto Jell-O mixture.
  5. Sprinkle with walnuts.
