Vegetable Soup Recipes

Tomato Consomme

4 cups tomato juice
2 cans undiluted condensed consomm
4 whole cloves
1/2 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of basil
1 small onion, chopped
Few celery tops
Few parsley sprigs

Mix all ingredients together; bring to boil, then simmer for 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth. Reheat and serve with slice of orange in each bowl.
