Dolly Madison's Fairy Butter

Dolly brought this to the White House. It was that extra touch that she loved and popular with other Virginia cooks as well.

2 hard boiled eggs
1 tablespoon orange flower water
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Butter, room temperature

Beat and mash the egg yolks until fine grained. Add orange flower water and powdered sugar; beat until you have a fine paste, mixing well. Combine with equal amounts of butter and force through a fine strainer, with holes, onto a fancy plate.
