Fried Rags
1 quart vegetable oil
1 teaspoon shortening
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
Mix flour, shortening and eggs; roll dough out very thin; cut into strips
and tie into bow knots; fry in hot oil. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
