Hawaiian Hamburgers
1 (9 ounce) can sliced pineapple in own juice
1 pound extra lean ground beef
4 whole wheat lite hamburger buns
2 tablespoons pineapple juice
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 drops Liquid Smoke
Drain pineapple, reserving 2 tablespoons juice.
Make 4 patties from beef.
In separate bowl, mix juice, brown sugar, ketchup and Liquid Smoke. Mix well.
In skillet, pan-fry patties and pan-fry pineapple rings. Brush with sauce while cooking. Place patty and ring on bun.
Makes 4 servings.
