Cranberry-Almond Cereal
4 (1-cup) servings - 4 points
2 tablespoons slivered almonds
4 cup water
2 cup uncooked old fashioned oats
1/2 cup dried cranberries or dried cherries
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place almonds in a medium saucepan and set pan over medium-high heat. Cook,
shaking the pan frequently, until the almonds are golden brown, about 2 to 3
minutes.
Add the remaining ingredients and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to
medium-low and simmer until the liquid is absorbed, about 3 minutes.
