Praline Topping

Yield: topping for a 9 inch square or 13 x 9 inch cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Swans Down cake flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients.
  2. Spread carefully, a small amount at a time over hot cake in pan.
  3. Place in moderate oven (375 degrees F) and bake for 5 minutes.
  4. Let cool, and cut cake in pan.
