Chocolate Molasses Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Grandma's Molasses
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 (1 ounce) squares chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, molasses, milk, chocolate and butter in a deep kettle. Stir until sugar is dissolved and cook until candy will form soft ball when tried in cold water.
  2. Remove from heat; add vanilla extract and beat until creamy.
  3. Pour into a buttered pan.
  4. When cool, mark in squares.
