Fabulous Fudge (T&T)
This is the best "quick" fudge recipe I have tasted. Every Christmas for over twenty years I have made at least 10 to 12 batches for gift baskets. I have never had a batch fail.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or butterscotch)
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
- Combine milk and sugar in large saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a rolling boil.
- Lower heat, but still boiling, stirring, for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add chocolate chips, corn syrup, butter and vanilla extract. Stir until chips are melted and smooth.
- Quickly add chopped nuts and pour into buttered 9 inch square pan.
- Let cool.
- Cut into desired size pieces.
