White House Inn Lemon Tea Cookies

Yield: 24 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together. Form dough into 1 inch balls and flatten slightly onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
  3. Dust cookies with confectioners' sugar, if desired.

Notes

If the filling begins to harden, add a drop or two of water and mix.
