Raisin Sauce for Ham
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 6 to 8 slices ham
Instructions
- Cook raisins in water for 5 minutes.
- Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger and vinegar. Add to raisin mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened and add sliced ham. Continue simmering until meat is thoroughly heated.
- Serve.
Notes
Sauce may be prepared ahead of time and reheated when ready to add ham.
